Overview

Washington Park, including Wash Park West, is one of Denver's best-known neighborhoods. It surrounds the 165-acre park with its lakes, gardens, and running loop, and its streets are lined with classic bungalows, Tudors, and a growing number of modern homes. South Gaylord Street and Old South Pearl bring restaurants and shops within walking distance, and downtown and Cherry Creek are both about ten minutes away.

Homes You'll Find

Washington Park's homes are mostly from the 1900s to 1930s: Craftsman bungalows, Denver Squares, and brick Tudors on tree-lined blocks. Many have been renovated or expanded with pop-tops and finished basements, and scrapes replaced by large new homes are common on the blocks closest to the park. Condos and townhomes are found along the busier edges, including older brick buildings and newer townhomes near Alameda and Downing.
